As Executive Director of Reel Medicine Media, Catherine is responsible for leading organizational strategy and operations. She is passionate about improving the end-of-life experience in America and believes in the power of media to shift narratives and create change. This belief comes from her 20+ years of experience leading mission-driven storytelling and impact for non-profit, philanthropic, and start-up media organizations. Most recently she was Creator & Executive Producer of Fundamental: Gender Justice. No Exceptions a twice Emmy-nominated global docuseries and impact campaign about activists working on the frontlines of gender and racial justice. Prior roles include Executive Producer & Head of Advocacy for Global Fund Women, where she built a media advocacy program and team for one of the world’s leading public foundations for gender equality; Vice President and Interim Executive Director at the International Museum of Women, an award-winning virtual social change museum; Chief Curator at San Francisco Public Library; and Vice President and Content Director at several start-up media companies. Catherine has a degree in Art History from Smith College, serves as an advisor to media and film organizations, and is on the board of directors of the West Marin Fund.
